Matt's been singing Real Men of Genius at me while we've been trying to get the show started, but it is August 23rd. This is the RB and Prayer Show brought to you by nobody ever, never. SPEAKER_02I was actually just wondering who I remember breaking. I remember the commercials, but I cannot tell you who it was who like the commercials were actually advertising for.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, I figured it was a beer, but I didn't know which one.
SPEAKER_01It definitely is. Uh all right. We have a fun night ahead. We get to award Fanley C superlatives to some of our league mates.
SPEAKER_02Best show of the year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Most ridiculous show of the year for some. Yes, that is true. Um, but definitely my favorite. I think your favorite too to like put together and just because all superlatives are a way for us to just tell our league mates how little we think of the teams that they've put together.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01So that's the entire purpose of this podcast. Which, if you think about it, is the entire purpose of fantasy football is to make other people feel bad about how bad teams that they have come up with. So that being said, we'll get to superlatives in a little bit. Our quick question of the day. So uh jumping a little bit into the news, we had news today that yesterday uh at Raiders practice, uh Ashton Gente was carted off the field with a right knee injury, was not able uh ESPN said he was not able to put weight on his right leg at all. We don't know anything more than that. So right now he's listed on sleeper as questionable with a small bit of news. Matt, today Ashton Gente is currently his ADP is pick 14, which means he's a early second round pick in a most 12 team leagues, and that's generally more uh PPR leagues. I'm I'm looking at ADP for. What do you do with Ashton Gente, knowing that you don't know a whole lot other than this doesn't sound awesome?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I so if I'm a current Ashton Genty owner, you know, in my dynasty league, I am trying to get Mike Washington anywhere, any way I can. I mean, hopefully, if you already did that as part of your rookie draft, because you should always be, you got an if you have a Bell Cal, you have to be getting his his handcuff. But if you don't hope that maybe the you know the owner just hasn't seen the news because it kind of just came out today, but I would get on that ASAP and I would uh really be trying to trade for Mike Washington, maybe even kind of overpay a little bit, nothing crazy, but just just hope that they don't realize what they have yet. If you are drafting tonight, though, or here in the next couple weeks, um you know, I think at this point it's just kind of the assumption that it's it's it's season ending. It's some kind of ligament tear, he's probably gonna be out the minimum, the vast majority of this season, probably well past usefulness for this year. So if you're drafting him, you are drafting him knowing that essentially you're getting nothing this year. So, in my opinion, like what I'm doing is like, you know, definitely not drafting him top of the second round. I personally would probably skip him altogether. Um, there's too much unknown. I don't really know what's going on. Uh it just makes me really nervous. But and so I would target other running backs. If like if I wanted to go with a running back at that time, there's other running backs that I think are just as good that you could target in that area. But I would be targeting Mike Washington, even in a startup right now. I would be targeting Mike Washington, you know, probably as kind of an RB3 type person, like kind of bumped him up to, you know, kind of like mid 20s RB like running back overall, RB25, 26, somewhere around there. Um and if if you really want to draft Genti, I would probably like when do you think when do you think would make sense to pull the trigger on him? I personally if he's going in the top of the second, is is sixth round too early for a guy like let's assume he's out the year, is sixth round too early in a startup dynasty draft.
SPEAKER_01Um it depends on what type of dynasty you're doing. I mean, if it's like a deeper kind of IDP type league, I would say it's probably later than that. But you know, I I'm also at that point probably to your point just saying I'm not gonna be the one that drafts him. Um you know, I I think Dynasty is probably the I don't know. I I think at this point Dynasty might actually be the easier uh league setup to figure out what you're gonna do with him right now, knowing what we know at this very moment, which is we don't know he's out for the year. We it seems like that's probably what has happened here, but you know, he could be out four to six weeks with uh I don't know, uh a sprain of some kind, or you know, maybe it's not a knee thing, maybe it's a high ankle sprain type of deal. I we just don't we don't know what it is, other than it's something in his right leg, probably between his ankle and his knee somewhere. Um so I think redraft is where it gets really interesting because if your leak has an IR spot, you know, obviously you're not gonna take him in the first or second round, anything close to that. But um, you know how many rounds do you feel comfortable bumping him back where he's not gonna just sandbag your entire team? I actually think it's a really interesting question because it also applies in my book, at least, to Jeremiah Love right now. He's in a very similar situation. He's got a high ankle sprain. Uh they're expecting him to miss some amount of time between one week and end number of weeks. We don't really know. But he's a top end, he's viewed as a top end back in both dynasty and uh and redraft. So we we think he's coming back, but a high ankle sprain has a tendency to linger. So, do you want to take on that headache? So I think the the question really becomes what type of team do you want to be? Are you the type of team that's willing to take on some risk that where you're looking at guys like Love and Genty and Malik Neighbors and these guys that are hurt right now, that could be back early in the season and might be difference makers once they're back? Or are you the type of team where you don't like that or you couldn't take that type of risk on because the keepers you have or the dynasty team, whatever, the setup that you have doesn't make sense for those types of players. I think they're all getting bumped back. Well, neighbors is getting bumped back, what, three rounds probably right now, from where he if he was fully healthy today.
SPEAKER_02Well, he's coming back because there's so much positivity coming from him right now that it's like there's a lot of things that make it seem like he will be ready for week one. He's moving up.
SPEAKER_01We've got love that never really seemed to move, even with the news of a high ankle sprain. And now we've got Genty, and I expect Genty probably to move down. Where would I be willing to take him in a dynasty draft? Um yeah, I'm I'm probably a little bit ahead of the sixth round. If it's not an IDP, this is just an offense only. It's a it's a PPR, you know, uh maybe even a super flex, to your point. If it's a super flex, he's probably a second or third round pick. But I I would probably bump him back to the fifth um and be a little more okay, uh, depending on the type of build I've got going then, maybe sooner. But if I don't have a build that can just wait, I'm not building for the future, I'm building for right now, then he's probably not somebody I'm even targeting here. So yeah, it's sad news. It kind of stinks. There feels like there's been, you know, every year we say this, I think, but it just feels like there's been a lot of injuries that have uh bit us through this preseason already, whether it be those or even just like all the groin injuries that seem like they have happened lately. So it's the fun of the preseason and getting back into the season. This happens every year, and it always feels like, oh man, this is nothing. This is new. Where do we get all these injuries from? And yet it is what it is. So all right. With that, uh, any other news we want to hit on, Matt, before we jump into the the meat of the show for tonight?
SPEAKER_02Um, the only other piece of news, we haven't really had much come up in our leagues uh this week, but we did have one change in our keeper league. Uh, they decided to, or the commission decided to move up the draft. I don't even remember when it was, but he moved it up. So it starts literally in two days. Yeah, he moved it up. But it was a full week. Yeah, and it's I I guess it was just impatient. I I don't know. I think I was fine with it where it was, but it's fine. It's gonna be a slow draft. Um, so but come this time, I think we were planning on doing our next episode would be kind of mocking the first couple rounds of our keeper draft, and now we probably can't do that. So we'll see how far we get when we start recording next. But um, we might be doing more of a kind of review and then mocking the next few rounds. So we'll just we'll see what see what's going on.
SPEAKER_01They just didn't want us to mock it too much and then not you know what all is gonna happen there. But yes, our draft moved up. I'm excited about that. I I get impatient too, so I totally am on board with uh drafting sooner, especially I can only mock draft so many times from the same spots and be like, I I keep ending up with the same players, I like them, and that's totally fine, but I just I never end up that way in the real team. And it will never end up this way because as it happened last year, if you remember in that league correctly, do you remember who our surprise first round pick was that came out of nowhere that we just mocked relentlessly?
SPEAKER_02I remember it was a quarterback, wasn't it? It was like Joe Burrow.
SPEAKER_01It was a it was Joe Burrow. He was he went like seventh or eighth overall in the first round in the one QB league, in a one QB keeper league, and you and I both about lost our minds on that show. Every league needs that guy that'll do that type of thing. He's inevitable.
SPEAKER_03He is uh yeah, I am inevitable, yeah.
SPEAKER_01They are inevitable, that type of player in your league. You need somebody that is just like inevitably going to do the most, I don't want to call them idiots, but like just do the thing that no one else would ever even think to do in that position. Uh you you spoke of the only new thing that happened because there's not been a whole lot of movement. Did did you want me to mention the trade that I made that uh was proposed to me that I ran to accept? Matt and I've got to be.
SPEAKER_02Yes, I did. I didn't need to be bitching. You were asking me, are you sure? I don't know. I'm really nervous about this. I'm very scared, Matt. Will you hold my hand? Uh hit the accept button. That's I didn't say those words literally came out of your mouth.
SPEAKER_01So, in a I don't you remember, tell me, uh, you did it last week, the math on how many roster positions we have in this league. So it is a 12-team dynasty.
SPEAKER_02It was something like 65, I think.
SPEAKER_01I think is where about where it came out to be. It's a ridiculous number. It's a super flex PPR, tight end premium, IDP, deep, deep, deep league. There is no one out there. I was proposed to trade uh that I didn't love the first iteration of it, so I told the person, hey, that's not really what I'd be looking for. Um, and he sent me something back. I remember I was it was Friday afternoon. I was at the barber getting my haircut when I get this response that's like, I think you're gonna like this version. And I look at the app, and this is a trade, uh, it's offense only for this trade, but uh, I'm trading away Stefan Diggs, Derek Henry, Justin Jolly, and DeJon Stripling. He really wanted those two rookies for whatever reason. I'm trading those players away, so a lot of players for Dynasty, and it's some old guys, some young guys. In return, I get Brock Bowers.
SPEAKER_02Yep. In a tight end premium league.
SPEAKER_01In a tight end premium league. Um, I not only get Brock Bowers, obviously, I get the chance to then go add my three favorite uh waivers, which I mean, is honestly not that much out on waivers, except I was very surprised to find Evan Ingram on waivers. I was like, this guy wants Justin Jolly so bad, the starter for the Broncos is out on waivers right now. What are we doing here? So I picked him up very quickly, but uh yeah, I was excited. That that trade alone, when I plugged Brock Bowers into my starting lineup and find somebody to fill the other starter spot, because two of those guys were were starters for me. Uh it automatically boosted my percentage chance to score or to uh to win in sleeper up by like eight percent as soon as I plugged him in.
SPEAKER_02So you are nothing, if not the luckiest fantasy football player in history. What are you talking about? All right, hey, look, I can't none of no whatever. This trade and the CD Lamb trade from last year were both neither of them were initiated by you. They just came to you asking for stuff, and it was just so long sided.
SPEAKER_01That's not true. The C D lamb trade, I did start all the conversations and tried to get that, and then he kept saying no, and then all of a sudden it came back about a week later and he was like, here you go. Um so okay, but still, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But anyway, with a second round pick.
SPEAKER_01Um all right, let's get to superlatives. Yeah, let's get to superlatives. Fantasy superlatives.
SPEAKER_02Wicka wicka wicka wicka.
SPEAKER_01All right.
SPEAKER_02That that should be our drop from now on. You doing that.
SPEAKER_01Flip it. Uh all right, so we're gonna start. We're doing two leagues, so we're gonna try to get through these relatively quickly. We're gonna be going through uh our superlatives for our game of end zones dynasty league. That is a 12-team PPR league that's been around for what, three, four years now? Something like that.
SPEAKER_02I think this is this is our fourth season, I believe. Yeah. So this is the original dynasty league for our our longtime listener. This is the original dynasty league that we've been playing in. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Uh, so we're gonna go through the teams there, and you'll get some interesting ones because we've got a lot to pull from. Uh, and then we're also gonna be going through the teams from our new Dynasty IDP League, League of Boom, uh, which is not the one we were just talking about. It's it's a different Dynasty IDP league. This is a 12-team Superflex PPR tight end premium. This is the Everything Bagel League. I don't know why you just don't change the title of it at this point. Because I'm Mainly because you came up with it. Mainly because the one person that listens to the show doesn't know it as anything else. But uh, but we'll be going through both of those leagues. And so to start us off, let's jump into League of End Zones. Matt, while I'm pulling mine up, why don't you get us started here and jump in on which team superlative you want to give out first?
SPEAKER_02All right, yep. So I will start with uh my buddy Josh. Um, he's known as gutter balls in the league, and that that's essentially what he throws when it comes to fantasy football. Um, I love Josh, uh, great guy. Um, I am often curious, I'll be honest, I'm often curious like why he plays in in this league, because he is he is, I'm gonna give him, I don't know how you want to do it, but I'm starting off with just I was given the the award name at the top. I am gonna give Josh the what I've dubbed the right in the middle award. Um, it is basically the way I see it is some managers rebuild, some managers are contending and do everything they can, but Josh, he has bravely chosen a third path, permanent mediocrity. He's just active enough to set his lineup every week, you know, complete some waiver stuff, um, kind of be out there, but he's not active enough to actually improve his team, make trades, respond to trade requests. Um, so he's essentially always ensuring that he will once again finish kind of just outside the playoffs while simultaneously missing out on all the top-end good rookie picks by not being bad enough. So add in some early season injuries, and he's right on schedule.
SPEAKER_03That's gonna leave a mark.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a good one. Um, all right. To follow that one up, I'm gonna go with uh our team uh Mike, one of our longtime owners. So I looked back at the history of the league to help me with this superlitive award a little bit. This is an owner who has for the last three years uh owned one of the best receivers, if not the best receiver in all of Dynasty football, which is Jamar Chase. Uh, this is a team that is not devoid of uh good players at all. This is a team that rosters uh Justin Herbert and Saquon and Chase Brown, George Pickens is on this team. Um this is also a team that took Cam Ward last year and has tank big is Xavier Worthy on this team. There are a lot of good pieces uh to this team. And yet, if you look at our league history, this is also a sub-500 team historically. This is a team whose overall record 35 and 49 all team all time. Uh, and so I'm gonna give this team the if you think about the office here, this is the Kevin's Chili Trophy. Uh if you remember the scene from the office where Kevin brings in the chili, and this chili sounds awesome. It's got all of the different things, he's talking about how he makes it and how he spends all this time and how he puts all these incredible ingredients in, and then he trips over his own shoes and spills all the chili on the floor and spends the rest of the clip taking folders and trying to scoop the chili back into the pot off of the carpeted floor. So Mike gets the Kevin's Chili Award for the talent, it's not the problem, it's the execution, it's the coaching.
SPEAKER_02I like it. That's that's pretty apt. That's a good one. Um, okay, so for my next one, um, I'm gonna move on to Alex, um, who I I have dubbed Alex. So when I look to Alex, he is in um probably this year, I think, the group of deaf. I guess you could in World Cup terms, if you want to put it. Um, so this league, uh, we I don't know if it was big or not actually talked about this or not, but we actually do divisions for this league. So we have uh three divisions of four teams each. The three winners of each division get the top three seeds in the playoffs, and then everyone else is just kind of, you know, best best after that. Um, but he is in a really tough division because he's got two guys that are going to be contending, which we'll talk about. Um, and then I so I'm actually dubbing Alex the sleeper agent award because I don't ever really think about Alex's team at all. But then when I go and look at it, I'm like, he actually has a lot of really good pieces. He's got Swift, he's got Kyron Williams, AJ Brown, Devontae Adams. Like he's got he could actually make some noise. Like he as long as like with everybody, as long as injuries and he stays healthy, but he he's looking pretty good. Um, but it's to me, it's no one's particularly worried about Alex right now, which is yeah, I imagine what he's kind of like that's how he likes it. That's what he wants. Um that's a sweet spot, is no one's paying attention to me. Exactly. He's got the roster that you don't think about, you're like kind of in your mind, like, okay, Alex, I'm not worried about, but then you get to it and then you see the the weekly sleeper projections, and you're like, oh crap. I'm playing this is who I'm playing? I'm playing Alex this week. Oh gosh. And he's a team that you don't he can make some noise in the playoffs. So to me, like the league's collective strategy is essentially we're ignoring him, and we just hope that the pieces don't come together. But they might. All right.
SPEAKER_01All right. All right. Looking at who I want to go to next. I like that one. I'm going to go to you. I got the sound effect just for your team. Your team name is the Eagle Fang Karate.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Sweep the leg. You have a problem with that. No sensei.
SPEAKER_01Sweep the leg. No sensei. No sensei. Eagle fang karate. You get the award for the perpetual rebuilder, Matt. You're the perpetual rebuilder of the league. When I pulled the record, so like I said, with the month my last team I went through, I went through the league history and pulled up everybody's record. Do you want to know what your overall record in this league is? It's not good. It's very bad. You are the worst active manager by 13 games. Jeez, I didn't think it was that bad. Yeah. Your overall record is 27 and 57. Um, so you you've got the youngest uh lineup, starting lineup in the league. Um, you know, it's it's cool, but holy cow. The the perpetual rebuilder who hopefully you're getting close to uh that point of of not being so rebuilder-y, but only time will tell. In my defense, because the league is so young. No, you don't get to make a defense. Yes, yes, I do.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm a co-host on this podcast. You could defend yourself if you want. I'm trying to be nice to you. What is this? I'm just gonna I'm just gonna filibuster. Our listeners, their their ears are bleeding right now.

SPEAKER_02No, I'm just saying I got hammered by injuries the first two years and then decided to redo it. I think I'm coming back. This is this is the year, making the playoffs, and then we'll see what happens. So you're telling me there's a chance.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. That should have been my award. So you're telling me there's a chance of winning. No, nope. You're getting the perpetual, uh, the perpetual rebuilder award. All right, who's next on your list?
SPEAKER_02All right, um, I I'll go you. We'll just keep that going. Now I'm a lot nicer because I'm just I guess a better human being than you. But I'm giving you a lot of people.
SPEAKER_01Or because I have a better team.
SPEAKER_02I'm giving you the Can't Give Him Credit award. Um because I you know genuinely will say that you have a good team and you actually know what you're doing, obviously. We we run this podcast. Um, and unfortunately, you do have some strong pieces that could be good this year. But as my co-hosts and as listeners out there or listener, we have a responsibility to make sure that nobody acknowledges this publicly. So this is this is a make or break season for you, in my opinion. So that means like you got some older pieces. So if you want to win, you got to do it this year. And I'm I'm curious because like if you if you lose, I'm definitely gonna be reminding him, reminding you about this, and that you know, we we really always knew that your team wasn't that good. That's that's really kind of how this is gonna work. So right now, it's tough. Could see you go all the way, but if you don't win, that's what I thought all along. That's what I'm predicting.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So you're calling the monster relative is I should win. And if you don't, that's what I expected. Okay, yeah. So so I'm right either way. Whatever happens, I am I am right either way.
SPEAKER_02I am right, yes, 100%.
SPEAKER_01Uh all right, all right. Uh let me see who I want to jump to next. Uh, I am going to go to where is he at? Um I'm gonna go to Ben. Uh this is a team, his team name this year is Sir Dunks Hedge Knights. Um this is a team that finished very low in the standings uh last year and is marked by um this is the type of team this is that they are going to be uh starting a tight end at their one of their two flex spots, uh, and not a top tight end, like Brenton Strange level tried end at one of their two flex spots, and then their other flex spot is Aaron Jones. It's not a team that's completely devoid of talent, but it's also not a team that uh has a lot of talent. There is a B. Robinson on this team, and if you want to just kind of imagine a world where that might be Bichon, good luck. Uh it's Brian. He owns Brian. Um, this is also a team that's a B.
SPEAKER_02Robinson that plays for Atlanta.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's a B Robinson that plays for Atlanta. This is a team that has changed their names, the the name of the team, the overall name of their team every single year to one thing after another after another. Uh, and because of that, I'm giving it the the the Larry Gary Jerry Gergic award of the season. It's a team who can't ever figure out what its name truly is, and is one of those lovable characters that always is kind of known for like messing things up. This is a team that has had good seasons but tends to just never actually live up to some of the potential and now is getting a little bit older. And so this is a team that I expect to have a new name and to also not live up to expectations next year. And if we want to give them the Jerry Larry, Gary uh whatever award next year, we're welcome to do that. But the Gary Gurditch award goes to Ben. Sounds good.
SPEAKER_02All right, for my next one. Um, I'm gonna go with uh friend of the podcast, former guest, uh Dalen. We're gonna talk. So Dalen, he took over a really bad team last year, and he was historically bad. Um I think that he would recognize that. I think he had what two wins maybe the whole year, and we play against the median, and neither one of those two wins were against the median. So he never ever scored above the league average the entire year. So he's bad. Or he was bad. So to me now, his award is the I'm not in last place anymore award because of another guy that you are gonna talk about. Um, so to me, he essentially fielded last year basically what was a JV roster for uh football. Um, and he but he has finally put it together. He's got a team that this year, like he's actually gotten some good pieces, made some good trades, um, some good drafting, um, where he is actually going to be capable of winning some games. And unfortunately for everyone else, you know, all of us, all of his league mates, he's now reached that point in fantasy that's really annoying in Dynasty to where he's not really good enough to be scary or anything, but he's really good enough to ruin your week and to really mess with you. Like he'll have three, maybe four weeks this year where he's just gonna come out of nowhere, score second or third most points, and beat his opponent, and then the next week he's gonna score like a hundred points and be second or say uh or last in the scoring. So it's just it to me, he's he's gonna he's gonna beat people. He has absolutely no business beating, and then um the next week he's gonna get crushed by just like a middle to the row team. So to me, but he's not in last place.
SPEAKER_01So that's his award. He's not in last place, and the the um the the second to last place award, yeah, for sure. Uh I'm gonna go with, I believe, who you would say is the last place team in the league, and that would be the average Joes and Bryson. Uh this is a team that I don't know. I I can't tell if he's paying attention anymore. Uh, maybe he is at this point. This team is this is not a crazy deep dynasty league. Um, just so everyone is aware, we we don't we roster a handful of, I mean, there's probably about 10 bench spots, um, but it's not super deep. This is three wide receivers, two flex. So so there are certainly uh I you mentioned or I mentioned last team that I thought starting a tight end at flex was bad. Um right now, uh Bressen's roster has him starting three tight ends, one at the tight end spot, and both of his flex spots are tight ends. Um, this is also a player who is rostering Darnell Washington and Cole Komet. Uh uh they are physically on his team, as well as Tyreek Hill, who is not in the NFL right now. Um so so I will be week four. He's coming back. Um I'm giving Bryson the Hoarder's Award, the Hoarder Special Award. Uh, this is a team that is just hoarding tight ends for whatever reason. I don't know why that's what he's chosen. Um, apparently he also has hoarded some quarterbacks on this roster. He's got Drake May and Carson Beck and Will Howard and Jackson Dart. Um, some of those things are not like the others and should be dropped immediately. But you know what? That's not the point of this episode. I don't get to take over teams. This is his choice. And if he wants to roster Jackson Beck and some of the rest of these guys, go for it. You know, do your worst. So the hoarder special goes to Bryson for hoarding terrible players.
SPEAKER_02I also think that you could have given him the Jeremiah Smith Award. Because that is what he's doing. He is fighting. Well, he's not really fighting, but he is he is essentially aiming to get that 101 next year draft Jeremiah Smith.
SPEAKER_01When you say fighting, you know, all I can think of is if you've ever seen like a meme where somebody just punches themselves in the face, that's what this feels like. That's yeah, that's apropos. This you yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_02All right, all right. So moving on, we only have a couple more left in the league. So I'm going with an oldie but a goody um in our league, and that's Levi. Um, Levi, also another friend of the podcast, he's been on, I think he's actually been on more than once. Um, and he is a guy, I've known him forever. Um, he runs our keeper league, and then obviously he plays in the regular dynasty league. So we talk about Levi all the time, and it has been the consistent theme. It does, it is a theme in our Game of End Zones Dynasty League, but it's also consistent in the keeper league and then any other league that we seem to play with, and it has been this way ever since I've known the guy for almost 20 years at this point. Um, he gets the Eternal Bridesmaid Award. If you're if you've listened at all, I think he actually won this award last year. I think I gave it to him last year. I'm gonna continue giving it to him every year until he kind of gets over that hump. But Levi, he has mastered the art of building a team that looks like a champion, a championship team right up until the moment it actually needs to win a championship. He has spent years proving he can build a contender, he can dominate stretches of the regular season, he has won. Um, I think in this dynasty, probably maybe not, but in the keeper, there's been years where he has won the regular season. He is and he has had like two losses all year. He's looked insanely good. Um, and then he'll lose in the first round of the playoffs. Like I did, I don't, I don't know what it is, but it's like he consistently, when he has a good team, it always looks like this is gonna be the year, I'm finally gonna do it. And then the playoffs arise, and he just it it he just he he's reminded that you know fantasy football championship trophies have taken out a restraining order against them, and he's just not allowed within 500 feet. So it's just I don't, you know, I love the guy, but until he gets over that hump and wins, I can't. He he he has to get the Eternal Bridesmaid Award.
SPEAKER_01Eternal Bridesmaid always won, never a bride. Levi, we love you for being the punching bag of the league. Um, it's always nice to have that guy that you know you're gonna get a win against every now and again. Uh, all right, I'm gonna move on to one of another friend of the show who has been on at least, I think he's been on a couple times, and that'd be Todd. Todd is one of our favorite managers. He's in a lot of leagues with us. He does a lot of things very differently than you or I might do. And for whatever reason, every now and again it works for him. And I don't know how that happens. Um you look at Todd's history in this league. If I can scroll to it quickly here, Todd's team, the draft flip repeat team, uh, has been the most volatile manager in our league's history. Uh, the first year of the league, he was 24-4. Then he turned that around. You think, wow, that's a pretty good team. The next year he was 6-22. And I'm like, wow, that's a terrible team. And the next year he was 24-4 again and won the championship. That was last year. Todd gets the award for the roller coaster team. Uh, he's just got those peaks and valleys, man. And it is so much fun while you're riding it, right up until you hit the bottom and your whole old man body gets squished down into that car on the roller coaster, and your back hurts, and your leg hurts, and everything else hurts. Todd, if history has anything to say about it, this is another one of those six and twenty-two seasons in the making for him right now. So we'll see. There is no middle ground with Todd. He's not gonna finish, he's not gonna finish 13 and 12. He's either gonna finish 20 wins plus or he's gonna finish single digits. Sub 10. Low single digits and wins. So Todd gets fine with me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I own his first round pick next year. So I yeah, I'm all for that.
SPEAKER_01Yep. So Todd gets the the roller coaster of a team award for uh 2026. And that brings us to our last two teams, I believe. Uh, who's your last team, Matt?
SPEAKER_02So my last team is is our buddy Drew, um, who I consistently say so Drew for league history, he won uh the first two seasons of the league. And then um last year he was in the playoffs. I think he was like, I think he barely made it in. I think he was a sixth pick or the sixth sixth seed, lost in the first round. Um, but he's you know, he's had lots of success. He's good about uh making trades, he's very active, all that kind of stuff. But every league needs a villain. And to me, that is Drew. You win the first two, you win the first two seasons of the that the league even exists. You are the eternal villain from then on. Like that's all the winning you're allowed to do. We don't we don't want any more winning from you. So I am giving you the Darth Vader award. So he he's already won it twice, so you know, so naturally, oh, you actually had that as a drop? This is perfect. This is what plays in my head. You know, this is what plays in my head whenever I see a message from him, because he is, you know, like I said, he's already won it twice. So naturally he's decided that being likable is really no longer necessary. So every trade negotiation with him, this is the the qualm that I have with him, he's very active. But whenever I talk to him in trades, it feels like I'm trying to negotiate with some kind of bond bond villain or something. Like he's always like I don't know how he goes, he does his his rankings or his evaluations of players and things, but it always seems like he is way higher on guys that I am not, and way lower on guys that I like that I'm high on and um doesn't value them at all. So, you know, he's returned from the last year's playoff. Um I think he's gonna come back with a vengeance. He's in the the same division as you and um Alex, who I said. So like to me, three teams that are gonna be really good, and he's got another really good team. Um, and it's it but like man, it's it is like fighting Darth Vader. Like it's to me, it's the whole league against him. Uh is is kind of the way I view it.

SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. He's a tough cookie to break there. Um, all right. My last team is Sidney Swinney's Janetes. Uh that's Teapark, one of our other friends. I I think he also came on the show once, didn't he? Yeah. So uh he won a different league last year. Um, so congratulations on that win. We'll try to make sure that doesn't happen again. Uh T Park has a great team. Looking at his roster uh this year, I kind of have to tell the story of his roster to get to my superlative here. Uh, this is a team that starts Jalen Hurts, Ken Walker, and Ashton Genty uh at running back. He's got Drake London, Ladd McConkie, Terry McLaurin at wide receiver. He's got Brock Bowers. Uh his flexes are Chuba Hubbard and Jalen Waddell. Um it's a really strong starting lineup. Uh but then you start thinking about injuries. And we talked about Genty's injury earlier. Chuba is fighting for his life for the job in Carolina. And so that starts to make you think, man, like, okay, this is a scary starting lineup. Uh if he's got to swap some of these guys out, and his bench is a lot of doo-doo. And so I'm giving this team the uh all this is a phrase my dad always talked to me about, but the all getting off the bus team. You know, in high school, when you watch high school football teams and they got to get off the bus at the to go play the game, and who are the guys that they put at the front of the line to get off the bus first? Like big. It's your big lineman. The big whoever's the biggest jack dude that you get. Yeah. The scariest dude that you have on your team is getting off that bus first, and you're gonna put the kicker in the back. Like, I don't even want you to get off the bus and be seen. I want you to wait five minutes after everybody else, and then you can sneak off and come to the sideline. This is a team that on paper, the looking at the starting lineup, you're like, holy cow, how am I gonna deal with this? How can I put together a roster that has enough points to to match up with this? And then you start thinking, wait, bye weeks are a thing and injuries are a thing. And as soon as you start kind of poking a hole or two in this roster, it falls apart really, really fast. Now, this is a team that could still be. Can can teams that are all getting off the bus be really, really good? Sure. They can still smack you around a little bit, but they're much more known for looking a lot stronger than they actually perform on the field. And so the all getting off the bus team goes to uh tea park this year.

And man, if you if you don't have a good set of folks to play a dynasty league with, go find them online and some Reddits or subreddits or stacks or whatever. Because good dynasty leagues are so one, they're hard to come by, but two, when you're actually in them and like active and the people in the league are active, maybe not every single person, but the majority of the league is. It's so much fun to play in. Um, all right, let's move over to our other league. This is so so our other league, these are first-time awards. Uh, some of the league managers you'll hear repeated here because we play with some of the same guys in this league as we do with uh in some of our other leagues, and then we've got some new league managers in this one as well. So again, this league we're going to be talking about now is is the Everything Bagel League. It is a 12 team dynasty superflex, PPR, tight end premium, IDP, acronym, acronym, acronym, acronym. Uh we're excited about this. Yeah, the the average projected score is a thousand million points. Good luck trying to get there. Uh sounds fun. No, it does. Uh, so we're excited about this one. These are first time superlatives. These are teams that honestly we have no clue what the heck these teams are gonna look like. But you know what we're gonna do, in spite of not knowing what these teams are gonna look like, is mock the crud out of some people still and not know what we're talking about. So, Matt, I'll let you get us started. You pick who you want to go after first.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Um, we'll start. I'll I'll work my way up, but I will start with um uh a new manager. Uh well, a new manager to us, like we've not played with him before. Um, and it is we'll just use his name, his moniker, Jimmy Mack. Um, I I like to see so looking at his like his thing, the thing that really stood out to me when I looked at his roster is that he's got a lot of people or a lot of guys that are good or could be good. So I'm I looked at his roster and I said, man, when he drafted his team, he really must have said, I see potential here. And he really must have thought, if everything goes right, this is gonna be a great pick. And so that's why to me, there's a chance exactly. Jimmy Mack gets the glass half full award. He he definitely had to look. He's got Alec Pierce, Jamison Williams, Christian Watson, Britain Strange, Kenneth Walker, Trevion Henderson. He's got he's got a lot of people, like his whole team is essentially just one optimistic projection. Now, could everything go go great and it works out for him and he runs away with the title? Yes, it could. He could hit on all of this stuff and he would look like a genius, and he would make us all, he would just, you know, he could walk into the sunset and we all cry um in our sleep. But unfortunately, the everything going right kind of appears to be the entire draft strategy. And so to me, um, I don't I don't think it's gonna work like that. And it rarely works like that in fantasy football. So I'm I'm not really too worried about it, but yeah, that's kind of what I saw when I looked at his team. So to me, he gets the half glass full award.
SPEAKER_01So when you say half glass glass half full, do you mean full or f o l? Because glass half fool. That's right. The first time you said it, that's all I heard was like glass half fool. Um, probably.
SPEAKER_02Let's see. Well, we'll it depends on how his season goes.
SPEAKER_01So which one it would be. Yeah, exactly. That's the point, is it could go either direction. He could be the fool or it could be full. Uh, all right, I'm gonna jump in and go with one of our new managers who's a manager I brought to this league, and that's Joseph. Uh, this is Jay Merv. Uh, and his team, he he in our draft uh has not done IDP, and I he might have done some uh dynasty, but but not a ton. So relatively new, but really excited to to jump into a league with us for for this here. Uh his first round pick was CMC, which in a dynasty IDP and we've discussed that. We've discussed that. Uh it's an interesting one for sure. Um yeah. It's a bold strategy, Cotton. It's a bold strategy, Cotton. I thought I had that one on here. I I must not have clipped it, but uh anyway, yeah. Uh it's a bold strategy. So he takes DMC. Uh, this is the oldest roster in the league by not a small amount. In Dynasty, his average player's age is just shy of 27. Uh, for most of our teams, that number is closer to 24. So this is a team that if it doesn't win in the next year to two years, is probably getting ready to start rebuilding, and then it's a long road from there. Uh, because of this is such an old team. Uh I've got a sound by for them, but they are uh I'll just play this first and then give you their superlative.
SPEAKER_02Did you hear me? I said get off my lawn now.
SPEAKER_01They're the get off my lawn award for our team or for our league this year. An old man team who just doesn't want you on their lawn. Get off of it, get out of the way. Uh Joseph, we love you. The get off the get off my lawn award for 2026.
SPEAKER_02Um, well, then I'll actually go. My next guy um will go the complete opposite. Um, since you kind of set that up of the old man, get off my lawn. Um, I not an exact opposite, but I've got Dalen, uh who, yes, same Dalen that played, it's probably the only Dalen in the world, but that played in the that we discussed in our other dynasty league. He's also joining us for this one. Um, so he entered the inaugural draft with in my mind is uh with he had one simple philosophy. If you've been in the NFL for more than five minutes, you are too old for my roster. He he did my he did not draft a team, he he opened a daycare, is essentially what this looks like. He like so the good news is that like this team could be really freaking good. Um, he could be he he's probably gonna be good this year, but he's gonna be really freaking good in a year or two. Um, the bad news is that he appears to believe that the league has a five-year waiting period before championships actually account actually count. So to me, he's getting I'm giving him the no country for old men award because he doesn't want any old people on the team.
SPEAKER_01Uh that's a good one. Umilarly, another one of our uh new league members this year is Raider Dad. Um this is a team that so um I'm giving them the award that the name of their award is the Radio Silence Award. Uh so you we all know what that means, right? There are times where some managers are extremely active. And for Raider Dad, that was during the draft. Extremely active trading, uh, traded some picks, got some picks, moved around in the draft, put together a team that is on again on paper, like not the definitely not the worst team in the world. There's a lot of opportunity here, and then has just gone radio silent. And in you might think, well, how do you know that? Why, you know, are you making trades with them? No, I'm not making trades with them. Well, how do you know that they're being radio silent? Uh, because I look at their roster and they've got an IDP player that is currently on the pup. Um, they also have multiple players that have retired from the NFL at this point. Uh, Joe Mixon officially retired from the NFL and yet still on this roster. And I don't know if that means he's just a big Joe Mixon fan who's hoping he's coming back, or it's someone who's not paying attention. Um, same thing with Bobby Wagner, like not coming back so far as we know. Definitely not signed by a team, uh, but still on the roster here. So the Radio Silence Award goes to Raider Dad. That's good. Um good. You don't have to tell me every time, Matt. It's okay.

SPEAKER_01Well, don't text him about dropping those players. Oh, by the way, he doesn't have he doesn't have any of his IR or his taxi squad spots available. Like he they are fully available. He hasn't moved any player anywhere. So it'll all happen right before the season starts.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, go ahead. All right. So the next guy that I'm gonna move to is Show me Moore, who's another new new owner to us. Um, I actually don't even know who this is, like personally. He's uh, I think a friend or a brother of one of the other guys in our league. But um, he is, I'm giving him, I'm gonna tell you the name first and then I'll explain it. I am giving him the most likely to need a therapist award. Um, the reason for that is because when you look at his team, you know, his running backs look great. Um, but he apparently decided that his wide receivers should really provide all the emotional instability for essentially the whole league, but just on his team. So he's he's has AJ Brown and George Pickens, um, both of them together, they probably give him approximately 37.893 different ways to become furious on a Sunday. And then he also has this like I find this really funny. So, like stacking and fantasy football, that's a thing, right? And it oftentimes, like statistically, if you get the right stacks, it can actually improve the consistency and it can actually make your team better. And when I say stacking, it's usually referring to having um a quarterback and then probably like his wide receiver, excuse me, his wide receiver one um on a team um or just a top pass catcher or something, sometimes running back, but it's usually two guys on the same team, one of them quarterback. So he's got Justin Herbert, and then he also has two other chargers on his team. But it's instead of going for like the actual top stack, like with like Aladd McConkey, a Marion Hampton, he decided to stack Herbert with Gadson and Quentin Johnson. So it feels like to me he went shopping for like a premium package, and then he accidentally grabbed, got home, and he opens the box and it's the off brand. And so, like to me, it's the he's got the generic. So, like, thankfully, he's got good IDPs, and I think it'll help kind of offset that. But he hit his team really could be blown up by week seven because if he loses those two top wide receivers because they're just, I don't know, emotional IQ, whatever you want to call it that they have, um, or lack thereof. But yeah, he gets the most likely to need a therapist award.
SPEAKER_01All right. All right. Uh, I'm gonna jump over. You made a comment and kind of made me think about this team. Uh so I'm gonna jump to uh one of our other new managers. The team is called the Coles Cash Boys, uh, mostly because they drafted Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins together on the same team, and neither of them are playing for him right now. Uh, it's a team that on paper, uh, you know, Coles Cash, what's what's Coles Cash known for, right? Giving you giving you a discount, telling you, oh, we overcharged you, and then we gave you a discount on all this stuff. So the roster kind of is meant to give you this thinking, this this idea that like this is a discount roster. But uh when I look at the roster, it it screams clearance bin, not discount bin, uh, to me. Uh all in jet, you know, a little bit in tongue-in-cheek here. This is a pretty good team overall, but uh, I'm giving them the uh less discount, more clearance award for the year uh with the Coles Cash Boys here.

SPEAKER_02So then uh moving right along, we're about halfway done. Um, I'm actually gonna go to you next. So I and we we've talked a lot about this. I don't remember if we talked about this on the show or not, but I know that you didn't intend in our draft to go in and do zero RB, and it just kind of happened and it kind of fell to you. Um, and then you're also the only team in the league that has two, like, not only do you have one very startable tight end, you're the top tight end in the league, in my opinion, Brock Bowers. You also have another top four tight end in Tyler Warren. So you're the only team with two like top tight ends, and it is tight end premium, and I think that'll help you. And you do have a good IDP roster, but looking at your RBs, it's you know, it it's it is the definition of zero RB. Um, and so like to me, the first thing that pops in my head when I think about your roster, and I'm thinking about the R the running backs that you have, it's the meme of not great Bob. It's that meme. Um, and so that you get the not great Bob award. Um now I think it's you're gonna have a great, nasty defense. Um, you know, your wide receivers are good, tight ends. I'm really curious to see, and I know you are too, if those two top tight ends are gonna help in a tight end premium, if it's really gonna make that big of a difference compared to what you could have had in in like that other flex spot. Um uh and I think your quarterbacks are also relatively lacking, if I remember correctly. Uh but yeah, so like to me, it's it's the running backs just really stood out. I just I find them really funny.
SPEAKER_01No, they're bad. They're bad guys. They're really bad. They're they real bad. Real, real bad. Uh no, that's totally fair. And it also works because my name is Bob. Uh, I like the double meaning there.

SPEAKER_01Uh all right, I'm gonna jump to our next team. Uh, another new team, the Bubinator, Bubinator team here. Um, I I really like a lot about this team. This is a team who was very shrewd in the draft. Um they I I think a lot of their picks were really, really strong. Um so lately I've been playing Madden 27 personally. Uh I don't know if you played Madden 27, Matt. Do you not 27? Okay.
SPEAKER_02I'd 26, but not 27.
SPEAKER_01You just got to keep up with the times. All right, so Madden 27, right? In dynasty mode, when you create a coach, you have, I believe, three choices. You can be an offensive guru, a defensive guru, or a developer. I'm giving the Bubinator Squad the offensive guru of the year award because when you look at the offensive guru in Madden, it's really interesting what it tells you. It tells you this is a play caller who has all of the things unlocked on the offense and then is just the worst when it comes to the defense. They're worse than any other team out there. And I think that applies a lot to the roster for Bubinator here. It looks like a roster where you might have maybe Matt, as the commissioner, you did not make it super clear that this was an IDP league. And so this manager went into the draft and was like, good grief, I'm getting a lot of great picks here. And all of a sudden was like, Oh crap, this is an IDP. What didn't anybody tell me? Um, they they have some good pieces on defense, but it does feel an awful lot like a lot of uh defense was an afterthought. Um so it's a very interesting team, and as we said earlier, you know, it's a bold strategy, Cotton. We'll see how it plays out here. This is a team that could be great. I week one, they've got a linebacker who's projected to score 30 points. Is that because they picked a good linebacker or because our scoring system is broken? I don't know, but we'll have to see how there's nothing broken about our scoring system.
SPEAKER_02Uh maybe, but again, only time will be. No, I I will defend this because I did a ton of research on it. And I actually think that one of the reasons that for the other league, we talked about it last week, their IDP scoring is so low because they've got like 50 players starting every week on defense, it feels like. So you can't have I was thinking about it. If you had literally you can have 10 linebackers on playing for you on your roster, and if you have 10 of them and they all score 30 points, like that's not that's not good scoring. So you have to kind of offset that.
SPEAKER_01Next time you start defending something of yours again, I'm playing that elevator Vader music. My finger is on it is on it is on the play button right now.
SPEAKER_02So okay, that's fine. Well, then for my next guy, I'm actually going with my buddy uh Jay Bobby. Uh he he is actually the one that should be getting the I'm giving him the what's IDP award? Very similar to what you were just saying, but his I you must not have looked at his roster because I'd always flipped him up. His is way worse than the boobinator. Um, he he is the only person.
SPEAKER_01Hang on, is it bubinator or boobinator?
SPEAKER_02No, no, I call I've always said boobinator in my mind. So I call him the boobinator, and it's a lot more fun to say. Um, but to me, Jeremy uh J Bobby, he's the only person to join an IDP league and not realize it's an IDP league. Similar to what you're saying. He's very running back heavy. Um, he's got some legitimate offensive pieces, um, but he is absolutely convinced this whole thing is going to work. I was chatting with him last week, actually, about this because I was trying to make a trade with him because I you know wanted a little bit of running back help. And uh he's got four starting running backs right now, two in the two running back spots, and then his two of his flexes are running backs, um, which kind of raises your floor, you know, usually in fantasy. But when you're in this league, I'm I don't know if it's really gonna be that helpful. I don't think they're gonna score enough, and he needs so much help on defense. I was trying to offer him that. And we were texting back and forth, and he was just like, nope, I don't need any help. I'm good. He's and I was like, okay, well then let's we'll let's talk again in week three. And he's like, cool, I'll be three and oh. And I'm just like, bro. So he is like I, you know, some of it I'm sure is grain staining, but he is so convinced that his team is legit. And I think he's actually projected the lowest or second lowest out of the entire league right now. Um, and also to make make his life even harder, is that present-day J Bobby decided to hand over his 2027 first round pick to me during our our during our inaugural inaugural draft. So you know, he's either it's either like some crazy move of some visionary that no one that like no one could have foreseen coming. What did he get back? I don't even actually remember. I forget what did he give me? It was me, and now I can't remember what he gave me for that, and sleeper's bad about that, but it was something like I think he gave me his first and like a 15th round pick or something like that to take like my eighth and ninth pick or something. Like he got like two, and they were not high-end people. I cannot remember what he got, but yeah, it was it was really funny to me that he he offered that I could not accept fast enough when he offered me that. I was like, all right, let's do it.
SPEAKER_01All right, it's a good one. Uh, I'm gonna jump to your team next, uh Matt. So similarly, you know, I was looking at your team. I I obviously saw that you got that draft pick. Uh, when I ran, I I went through your roster and kind of looked at things. You have a lot of good pieces, but the thing that stood out is you have the youngest roster in uh any of our leagues that we're talking about. Your average player uh age is 24 and a half. You have 14 of your players in this league that are under 23 years old, and none of them are older than 29. So your team is I did not even know that. I did not know that. Very, very young.
SPEAKER_02I'm younger than I'm younger than Dalen's team.
SPEAKER_01Uh in this league, you are, yeah. I am shocked. So um uh I'm giving you the maybe this fits, maybe it doesn't. We'll see. Time will tell. But based on just looking at your team, getting draft picks, having a very young team, I'm giving you the rebuilding in two leagues simultaneously award for trying to rebuild both teams at the same time. Uh coming in, uh getting young players, getting even younger next year in the draft. It'll be great. You'll just continue to rebuild. You're really good at rebuilding things. Um, not even close. The Lego Award. You watch. I like the Lego Award. I will. I will for rebuilding stuff. Uh, so that's what I'm gonna give you.
SPEAKER_02All right. My last guy um is Dan. Um, I actually think this is my favorite award out of all 12 awards that I have given. Um, but it also, you're probably not gonna like it. It's not really related to our league. So Dan is a coworker of mine, and he is in, um, he plays, I commish our our our work league, which is just a redraft every year. Um, but he gets so much crap consistently from me and other people that we work with, like randomly throughout throughout work as well. Um, because he uh last year he had to step away during our draft, and it was just one of those live drafts, you know, minute and a half, two-minute picks, not a slow draft. And he stepped away very early, and he had set up this queue that just got completely blown up, is what he said. And he ended up auto drafting a kicker in the first round. And so to me, he like to me, some mistakes are so legendary that they transcend leagues. So even though he didn't Not like that did not happen in our league, like this league that we're doing here. I'm giving him the first round kicker lifetime achievement award because it just it doesn't really matter what league he's in. He he just gets that. Um, I will also say though, for speaking of his team to this league specifically, his current roster, it does appear to be like it to be it have been assembled using the 2022 fantasy football aluminut. Um, so you know, maybe he's committed to it a little bit. I don't know. But yeah, he's he's definitely living in the past there.
SPEAKER_01COVID really stuck around for this guy. Holy cow. Every every sense of the word. Uh all right, that's a good one. I like that one. Um, my last team, again, like we said, we'll we'll hear some names a couple of times here. Todd, our game of end zone champ from last year, uh, is building out a team. And I'm giving Todd the Uncle Rico Award. Um, you know, you know that scene in Napoleon Dynamite, right? Uh, here, I've got a clip for how much you want to make a bet I can throw a football over the mountains.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Coach would have put me in the fourth quarter. We'd have been state champions, no doubt. No doubt in my mind.
SPEAKER_01No doubt in my mind. We've been state champions for sure. Todd built a team that is a good team, uh, but he he, as the draft was happening, kept telling everyone about how great of a team he was building, that he was going for it, that he was trading away all these picks. Todd doesn't own his first and second rounders next year, his first rounder in 2028. Uh, he does own all of his 2029s, I guess that's a thing. Uh, but he traded a lot of picks away to become a contender for this year. And looking at his roster, I again, we don't know what's coming with all of this, but I don't know if this is like a true contender team. Uh, so it feels an awful lot like Uncle Rico talking about how great things were, still talking about the glory days before the glory days have even happened at this point. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I yeah, I love that. Hey, if you look at the the projected score just for week one, like right now, I mean, like he's got a decent team. He'll be in the top half, but he'll be in the bottom half of the top half.
SPEAKER_01Like he would be like sixth place right now. Other teams, you're projected for 312. I'm projected for 322. Uh, we have Todd, he's projected for 310. We have a team that's projected for 315, another one 330, 309. Like, this is this is gonna be uh the projections are what they are, and we're not gonna be beholding.
SPEAKER_02He gave up a lot to not really become a consecutive.
SPEAKER_01If you were to trade away in a dynasty startup draft, Matt, your next two firsts as well as a second rounder next year. What how how far ahead of the pack projection wise would you say you'd expect to be? I mean, if it was me, I'd expect to be like I don't know. I'm thinking one solid starter at least, probably two, which means that should give me I I should be ahead by six to ten points from those starters alone if they're like top 10 positions. So I would expect to be 10 to 20, 12 to 20 points ahead of everybody else at that rate, or at least yeah, or it like right there, like you and one other guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it like it. If I'm giving up two first rounders, and that he did these in separate trades, but still, even then, that makes that almost makes it worse. You're doing it in separate trades and you're not planning it out. Uh, but uh man, I also want to just call out uh we love Todd for anyone who has listened all last year. He he had the moniker, I think this was his award last year, was he got the nickname king. He is notorious for nicknaming every single one of his players, and I have a bone to pick with him. He has not nicknamed a single player in this, like, yeah, he would pick up a guy off the waiver wire. He would I remember times where he would pick up like three or four guys off the waiver wire last year, and then all of a sudden we get another notification like a few hours later that he's got he's nicknamed those thing players, like he picks them up and nicknames them, and then like he'll drop them. Like, I think he did it with a couple guys where he picked them up, he will change their nickname. He will change them in the week if they have a bad week. And he's slacking this year, and the IDP, maybe he just has he's an IDPist.
SPEAKER_01He's so so here's who he's he hates IDP. Here's who he traded the firsts and the second four. You ready for that? Yeah, they were bad trades, too. They were uh and they were back to back. So he traded his 2027 first for Travis Hunter, and then he traded his 28th first and his 27th second for Carson Sweatinger, which maybe that that trade's probably a good trade because Sweichinger, I mean, he's probably I mean, it's a prime position, and he's the young up-and-coming dude for sure.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, not a good uh the Travis Hunter trade.
SPEAKER_01So bad. Uh just I don't I don't know if the Jags would have traded that much for Travis Hunter at this point, like and they own him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I will even tell you too, like, so the guy he he did both of these trades with the same person with the same team. I was like, I talked to Zach. Stop trying to help him. Zach Zach messaged me and he's like, is everyone gonna be mad at me? Because I'm like taking, are they gonna think there's collusion? Because I answer is yes. Uh it was it was so bad. Because but the funny part is Todd initiated these trades, like these did not come from Zach. Zach did not reach out and offer, say, hey, I'll give you Hunter for a first. No, Todd asked for it. Like, Todd reached out and said, Will you give me Travis Hunter for a first? And Zach was like, Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is this was the other option for Todd's team as far as an award, and it's another clip I have to play, but he's getting the Uncle Rico Award because I like that one better. But this one's pretty good too. The the Lincoln Park award would have been as he tried. He tried so hard, but I don't think this team is going anywhere. No, I agree.
SPEAKER_02It's yeah, it's oh man. I wish I had his first round pick in this league, not the other one.
SPEAKER_01And his first in the next league and uh or in the next year and his second.
SPEAKER_02It is funny too, though, when you think about it, 2027 is supposed to be this historically great uh draft class coming in, and he doesn't have a first-round pick in either one.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, man. I don't know. He's he wants to win. He thinks this is the win. He won last year, so maybe he didn't win last year. Not not in this league. He didn't win last year.
SPEAKER_02Well, not in this league. This is he won in the other dynasty league, though, last year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't count that. That's not the same at all. Um you only can't forget, you only count it when you win it. Exactly. Um, with that, I think we got through all the superlatives we want to get through. I think we went a little bit longer.
SPEAKER_02If any of our league mates are listening, just know this is all from a place of love. Yeah. Wink. Um look, I can do this on our meeting. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, geez.
SPEAKER_02I didn't know who would do that. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_01All right. Well, with that, next week, we gotta figure out what we're gonna do because the draft, like we said, the draft gotta get moved up. Um, we will probably be going through we'll go through a couple of our rounds at least. I would expect there'll be a handful that'll be done by then. So that'll be excited. Although every play every person in that league is like, my first round picks on the block now. Like, why is everybody training on the first all of a sudden? You know those picks still gotta get made, right? Uh, but we'll see how things go there. Uh and then after that, like we are on the precipice of football at that point. Uh yeah, so we'll be going through and getting ready for week one. But Matt, as we wrap things up, anything anything you want to say to our loyal listener?
